Catamarans Poreč-Venice, day trips and one way rides
This page contains a description of all catamaran lines connecting Poreč and Venice. Below the description of each excursion, there is a button "Availability and Booking". Departure point and travel conditions
For the excursion, a passport or EU identity card is required. Please also check all travel and booking conditions. The distance between the cities is 102 km and the trip takes about 3 hours in one direction. After arrival, up to 6 hours are spent in the most beautiful city in the world. For guests going to Venice and back on the same day, a bus transfer is usually possible from Umag, Mareda, Novigrad, Lanterna, Červar, Poreč hotels, Plava Laguna, Zelena Laguna, Funtana and Vrsar. Guests arriving on their own must come to the customs pier in Poreč. The nearest address recognized by GPS navigation is Obala Maršala Tita 17, 52440, Poreč. The distance from the parking lot (Large City Parking, Partizanska ulica 4, 52440, Poreč) is about 950 m. Parking costs from 8 to 20 € per day.
There is no car ferry from Poreč to Italy, so passengers can also use these lines for one-way transport. For passengers travelling from Italy to Croatia in this way, the boarding port is the San Basilio terminal in Venice.
Direct One-Day Trips: Poreč–Venice–Poreč
Round trips with the Prince of Venice catamaran are operated on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 2nd to October 1st 2026. In the pre-season, the excursion is operated by the Anđela catamaran. During the main season, departures may also be available on other days (Fridays and Sundays). Please check all available dates using the online booking application located below the excursion description. The ship owner and tour organizer is the Kompas company.

Description of the ship
The Prince of Venice ship is 39.6 meters long and 15.6 meters wide. The maximum speed is 29 knots. It was built in Australia, is equipped with modern navigation devices and is powered by two engines (2 x 1,435 kW = 2,870 kW). The aluminum hull design ensures comfort and stability even in an undulating sea. The ship has a bar, toilets, and full air conditioning.

South of the port, the bus shuttle starts from Vrsar.

North of the port, the bus shuttle starts from Umag.
- Umag: Kanegra resort and Kempinski Hotel Adriatic at 5:20, bus stations Bašanija and Zambratija at 5:40, Polynesia apartments and Garden Istra hotel at 5:50, Stela Maris resort and Sipar hotel at 5:55, and Park Umag camping at 6:10.

Discount for children
For all variants of Prince of Venice catamaran trips and bus transfers to that ship, a discount applies for children: up to 11.99 years of age they pay 50% of the price, and up to 2.99 years of age they travel for free.
Excursion prices
In the low season, from May 1st to June 27th and from September 1st to October 13th 2026, the price for adults is €90.00. In the high season, from June 28th to August 31st 2026, the price for adults is €100.00. Local return bus transfer (up to 15 km) costs €10.00 per person, and for longer distances €15.00 per person. One-day trips Poreč–Venice in pre-season and post-season
These return trips are operated by the catamarans Prince of Venice or Anđela every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until 14 June, as well as on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6 to 13 October 2026. In this version of the excursion, organized bus transport is also available.
The timetable depends on the day of the week. Travel time in one direction is at least 2 hours and 35 minutes and at most 4 hours and 20 minutes.

This round trip is operated by the catamarans Prince of Venice or Anđela every Saturday from May 2nd to October 10th 2026. Bus transfer is not available for this version of the excursion. The one-way journey takes approximately 4.5 hours.

One-Way Trips Between Venice and Poreč
As previously mentioned, the direct catamaran service from Croatia departs at 07:30 in the morning, while the departure from Italy is at 16:30. Departure days are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Boat service with a stop in Piran (Slovenia) is organized every Saturday. In that case, the catamaran departs from Poreč at 06:30 in the morning, and from Italy at 17:00.
The departure port in Venice is San Basilio. The one-way price for adults is €79.00 in low season and €89.00 in high season. Tickets for sailings via Piran are €1.00 higher. In Croatia, a local bus transfer is available for €10.00 to €15.00 one way. In Italy, no bus transfer is available. Luggage may consist of one larger checked item and one carry-on. Bicycle transport is allowed only for human-powered bicycles and costs €25.00. Note: the boat can accommodate a maximum of 10 bicycles. The tourist tax for entering Venice does not need to be paid if the old city is not entered.

The price shown does not include the bus transfer. If traveling from Poreč to Venice, a morning shuttle bus can be optionally selected. Description of the ship
The San Pawl catamaran is 35.20 meters long, 11.5 meters wide and has a maximum speed of 50 knots. It has 4 toilets, a bar with hot and cold soft drinks, as well as alcoholic beverages and simple meals such as croissants, sandwiches, chocolates, and sweets. Made in Norway, equipped with modern devices for navigation, and fully air-conditioned. Powered by 2 motors 2550 HP and the air cushion construction provides speed and stability.
High and low season
The low season runs from April 29th to June 18th and from September 11th to October 1st. The high season runs from 19 June to 10 September.
Children's discount: Family package (FP) and free travel for young children
In the low season, children aged 6 to 13.99 accompanied by 2 adults have the possibility of the family package discount (FP) and travel by boat for free. The family package includes a maximum of two children. Other children from 6 to 13.99 years old pay 50%. If only one adult travels, all children from 6 to 13.99 years pay 50%. The family package is not valid for the bus. Children under 5.99 always travel free (by bus and boat).
Excursion prices departing from the port
In the low season, the price for adults is €83.00. Children from 6 to 13,99 years, if included in the family package (FP), travel for free, otherwise pay €42.00.
In high season, the price for adults is €90.00. Children from 6 to 13,99 pay €47.00. There is no family package.
For example, if two adults travel on June 16, with children aged 5, 7 and 9, then all children go for free. Namely, a 5-year-old child goes for free because he is under 6, and children 7 and 9 years old go for free because they are part of the family package. Then the price for the whole family is 2*83 + 3*0 = €166.
However, if the (same) family with children aged 5, 7 and 9 travels on June 21, the family package is no longer valid.
The price for the whole family is now 2*90 + 2*47 + 1*0 = €274.

Bus transport prices and total price
Transportation by bus to the ship (and back) costs €8.00 for the adults, €4.00 for the children from 6 to 13.99 years and free for the children from 0 to 5.99.

In case of your own arrival on the boat in the low season, the price for adults is €83.00. The family package is valid. You must come to check-in by 7:30.
For the trips that have an organized shuttle bus in the low season, (the area from Vrsar to Novigrad), the price is €91.00. The family package is valid.
In high season, the price for a boat trip is €90.00. The family package is not valid. Bus extra. For your own arrival in the port, choose pick-up point: 19.
One-way drive by San Pawl
In this variant, the drives are subjected to changing prices. The prices are in the range from €66 to €92 for adults and from €44 to €59 for children. The exact amount of the price depends on occupancy and is available upon request. Local bus transfers are not available.
The luggage can be manual (maximum dimensions 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm) and with a maximum weight up to 10 kg. Travel documents are required for pets, and they travel at the cost of €15. Their announcement is obligatory. The price for bicycles is also €15 with a compulsory announcement.
