Umag–Venice by catamaran
A passport / EU ID card is required for this trip! Check all travel and booking conditions. The direct line from Umag to Venice operates every Wednesday in July and August. Departure address: Obala Josipa Broza Tita 2, 52470, Umag.
Another option are boat trips with bus transfer from Umag to the port of Poreč. The boat trip with Prince of Venice from Poreč to Venice takes about 3 hours. Sometimes the catamaran Anđela operates on this route. The third option is departure from the port of Piran (Slovenia) to Venice. In this variant as well, a shuttle bus to and from the port is available.
Transfers by bus are organised from the area stretching from Novigrad to the Slovenian border. Tourist resorts include Kanegra, Savudrija, Zambratija, Polynesia and Stella Maris, as well as the hotels Coral, Garden Istra, Aurora, Umag and Sipar. Transfers are also possible from campsites AC Finida, AC Park Umag and AC Mareda.
The price includes a guide and (except in the case of individual arrival at the port of Umag) bus transport to and from the boat. Children up to 11.99 years always pay half price, and children up to 2.99 years travel free of charge. The tourist tax for entering Venice is not included in the price. Umag–Venice, direct
Trip schedule with departure from the port of Umag:

Venice via Poreč

Venice via Piran

Fish picnic in Rovinj with departure from Novigrad
Transfer from Umag to Novigrad is organised by bus or by car. Boat departure from the port is around 09:00. Upon arrival of the boat in Rovinj, lunch and a 2-hour break follow. After that, the trip continues towards the Lim Channel, where swimming is possible. Return to Umag around 18:30. A detailed description of the trip is available here.
Price for adults: 55.00 €, children from 7 to 13.99 years pay 50%, and children up to 6.99 years are free of charge. Aquavision – glass-bottom catamaran – 2-hour cruise
Aquavision offers a two-hour cruise along the Umag Riviera. In addition to the town of Umag, you will enjoy beautiful views of Punta, Stella Maris and Katoro, as well as the famous Savudrija lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in Croatia. The Sveti Pelegrin catamaran has a glass bottom that allows passengers to observe the underwater world during the cruise. At interesting locations, stops are made so guests can enjoy underwater rocks and various fish species. There are also the submerged walls of the ancient town of Sipar, underwater freshwater springs, etc. The programme also includes an attractive diving show with professional divers. In addition to daytime cruises, underwater spotlights allow for an impressive night cruise as well.

Trip from Savudrija: sunset with dolphins
Savudrija is a settlement within the town of Umag. It is located about 4 kilometres north of the tourist resort Apartments Polynesia Umag.
The trip is operated by the boat Natasha with departure at 17:30 and return at 19:30. The trip includes a swimming break lasting 20 minutes. A detailed description of the trip is available here.

Private speedboat trip from Umag
The trip is operated as a charter, meaning that
the client rents the entire boat with skipper from 08:00 to 16:00. The maximum number of passengers is 8. Typical private trips go to Vrsar with stops
for swimming, lunch and similar activities. Languages spoken are Croatian and English.

Umag
The town offers several kilometres of well-maintained beaches, from which beautiful postcard views can be captured, as well as numerous activities (for example: the ATP tennis tournament and sailing regattas). The gastronomic offer is rich and diverse. The surroundings provide beautiful landscapes such as Old Savudrija and Momjan with the Butori waterfall. Parking in the old town centre, however, can be a problem. If you are arriving for a trip departing from the port of Umag, make sure to arrive early! Parking prices range from 1.3 to 1.5 € per hour, and from 20 to 30 € per day. At the beginning of 2026, it was possible to park free of charge by the sea, but be sure to check this option by calling one of the phone numbers at the bottom of the page.
