Boat description, trip map and gallery

  • Aska is a metal boat, 22.5 m long and 5.5 m wide (slide 1 in the gallery below). It is powered by two engines of 500 HP each. It has a closed saloon and an open upper deck covered with a light canopy for sun protection.
  • The route is shown in the gallery on slide 2. The boat departs from the dock in Medulin (1) at 8:30. Arrival for swimming at the Blue Cave on the island of Cres (2) is around 10:15. After swimming, the journey continues towards the town of Cres (3). After a two-hour break, the return to Medulin (1) follows.

  • Slide 3: Upon arriving at the beach, visitors swim into the Blue Cave. Sunlight reflected from the sea surface creates blue, turquoise and green shades.
  • Slide 4: Near the Blue Cave there is a beautiful pebble beach (known as Lubenice), which can be reached by boat or on foot from the village of Lubenice in about 15 minutes. The sea is crystal clear and extremely transparent. The photo was provided by the Cres Tourist Board, with thanks to Barbara Zorović.
  • Slide 5: The village of Lubenice is located on a hill overlooking the bay. Traces of civilization more than 4000 years old have been found here. During this trip there is not enough time to visit the village.
  • Slide 6: The town of Cres is located deep in the Cres Bay, providing protection from wind and waves. ACI Marina Cres is considered one of the safest marinas in the Adriatic. The photo was also provided by the Cres Tourist Board.
  • Slide 7: Cres harbour from above – a safe harbour protecting numerous boats.
  • Slide 8: Detail of the harbour in Cres town – cafés, restaurants, ice cream shops and boats create a typical Mediterranean atmosphere.
  • Slide 9: Narrow street in Cres town. Polished stone slabs create a special sense of authenticity.
  • Slide 10: Departure by boat from Cres town. On the right side you can see the beach and the Kovačine campsite.
